Hi, I’m Tim Hitchen.
I bring to each project the craft and attention to detail that only comes from decades of experience as a grader and online editor. For more than 20 years, I’ve worked on productions of every size and scale, every budget and timeline. That experience on commercials, web content, documentaries and in particular big-budget, multi-episode, network-produced television ensures I always deliver on time, on budget, and error-free.
I am passionate about making good looking television and films. My many years as a finishing editor for television in particular means I can deliver quality work with shorter turnaround times.

I have adapted with the industry. In recent years, I’ve brought my decades of long-form experience to grading and online editing commercials and web content.
The equipment I use depends on the job but usually I grade using Davinci Resolve and finish in Avid Symphony utilising Boris Continuum and Sapphire for effects work and repair jobs.
Adobe photoshop, Boris Mocha Pro and Black Magic Fusion are also part of the mix when required.
At Hitchen Pictures I also have a Flanders Scientific 24.5 inch Oled Grade A monitor available for rent compete with BMD scopes and breakout box.
I can work to your timings, including fast turnaround work, and to most budgets.
